Based in San José, California
Founded in 2011 as Moveable Feast – a street food festivals and corporate catering company – Moveable has since evolved into a multidisciplinary events & experiences company boasting a significant and diverse portfolio of consulting services and self-produced projects.
We continue to run Moveable Feast–a Bay Area leader in food festivals, night markets, corporate meal services and catering. However, through its acquisition of San José Made in 2016, the launch of MOMENT in 2018 and the emergence of its consulting services via high-profile projects like Garden at the Flea, Moveable has developed an unparalleled portfolio of services, an extensive knowledge base and industry-leading expertise in multiple areas.
Our Core Consulting Services
Placekeeping
Powered by our multidisciplinary team of storytellers, urban planners, producers and artists, our placekeeping projects (rather than “placemaking”) prioritize empathy, equity and collaboration with the current resources of a community to help amplify the social, physical, and cultural aspects of its public spaces.
Marketing
We provide smart, tactical, growth-intensive marketing services leveraging our unique “events as marketing” approach that blends our expertise in event production (800+ events produced and counting), social media marketing (tens of thousands of followers) and content creation.
Retail
As a result of our 2018 acquisition of San José Made (one of the preeminent small business event producers in the Bay Area) and the launch of our new pop up retail brand MOMENT, we excel in cultivating unique creative retail experiences designed specifically for robust small business success for our communities.
Partnerships
We partner with over 2,000 makers, artists, designers, chefs, musicians, organizers, doers, thinkers and microentrepreneurs for programming and events that regularly attract over 1.5 million attendees annually spanning from San José to South San Francisco and everywhere in between.
In other words, what started as a food truck company has now evolved into a “food trucks and so much more” company.
The Bay Area is a place where community is so deeply woven into the way people exist and thrive here.
Therefore, as residents of the Bay Area (many of whom were born and grew up here), we design all of our projects—be it in the Bay Area or outside of the Bay Area—with a guiding mandate of community embrace.
We believe a community that gathers together thrives together.
We love and believe in the small businesses, creatives, thinkers and doers in our community, and we want them to be the ones who influence and determine the future of our communities and cities.
